Solar Catamaran SunCat 120

Close your eyes and all you’ll hear is the gentle rippling of the Spree river as you glide silently along it through the city of Berlin. Take this unique opportunity to spend an unforgettable day with your guests on board our environmentally friendly, emission-free SunCat 120 solar catamaran. The Kiebitzberg boatyard in Saxony-Anhalt built the 36.5-m-long catamaran for SolarCircleLine GmbH. Solar panels measuring 78 m2 have been fitted on the roof so that the SunCat 120 is powered by the sun. When the batteries from aentron (made in Germany) are fully charged, the boat can spend up to 14 hours cruising the waterways practically silently and without any emissions, with up to 180 people on board.

The modern, well-equipped interior is filled with natural light and can be adapted to suit a range of uses. In good weather, the windows can be fully opened and the open design of the railings offers wide views over the Spree and its banks. Guests can walk around the full circumference of the SunCat 120, upholstered seating is available along both sides and at the rear, and a covered outdoor bar is located at the stern. Being on board feels more like flying than cruising, as the boat is not at all sluggish or cumbersome.
